Teaching Lead | Part Time

BetterALife is hiring a caring, dependable Teaching Lead to support our youth program every Tuesday while school is in session.

Schedule: Tuesdays, 4:00 PM to 6:15 PM
Pay: $20 per hour, paid weekly

The Teaching Lead will help create a fun, loving, and encouraging environment where children can learn, grow, and build hope for their future.

 

Responsibilities

• Set up the learning and meal space before students arrive

• Make sure the hot dinner is ready to be served

• Help lead and guide volunteers as they work with youth

• Support students with homework and learning needs

• Provide engaging educational projects and activities for students who do not have homework

• Encourage positive behavior, confidence, learning, and personal growth

• Help create a welcoming, safe, and caring environment for every child

Ideal Candidate

This is a great opportunity for a college student studying education or preparing to become a teacher who wants hands on experience working with children.

Candidates should be dependable, positive, patient, organized, and passionate about helping young people succeed.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
