Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fundraising and Events part-time Manager to join our team two to three days per week at 5 hours per day worked. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies to support our organization's goals. This role requires a strong background in relationship management, strategic planning, and public relations, as well as proficiency in various databases and CRM software, preferably Donor Perfect. The Fundraising Manager will work closely with stakeholders to cultivate relationships, write grant proposals, and oversee fundraising campaigns.
Duties

Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.

Manage relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners to enhance engagement and support.

Conduct research to identify potential funding opportunities and develop targeted proposals.

Write compelling grant proposals that align with the mission of the organization.

Utilize our Donor Perfect CRM software to track donor interactions and manage fundraising databases effectively.

Collaborate with the Executive Director to create promotional materials for fundraising campaigns.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives, making adjustments as necessary.

Provide exceptional customer service to donors and stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience throughout the giving process.

Represent the organization at public events and engage in public relations efforts to promote fundraising activities. Such as Chamber Breakfast and evening events.
Requirements

Proven experience in fundraising or related fields, with a strong understanding of best practices in relationship management.

Proficiency in databases, particularly CRM software + if you know Donor Perfect but will train the right person.

Excellent strategic planning skills with the ability to develop actionable plans that drive results.

Strong writing skills for grant proposal writing and other communications.

Demonstrated ability to conduct research effectively and identify funding opportunities.

Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and public relations.

Part-Time Pantry Lead

Role Description
Great Position for Extra Income! This part-time Monday and Wednesday (twice a week position), 10 am - 3 pm, on-site role is located in Purcellville, VA, and is for a Part-Time Food Pantry Lead. The Part Time Food Pantry Lead will be responsible for managing, organizing, and coordinating the different activities involved in managing the daily operations of our food distribution and stocking program. This includes, but is not limited to, supervising the distribution of food, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, keeping accurate inventory, and participating in outreach events to expand our reach in the community.
The Food pantry lead will load and drive the company vehicle so must have a good driving record.
The food pantry lead will stock and deliver food weekly on Wednesday's to our Reston location and Mondays to our local schools we support, plus pick up food on Mondays to restock the pantry.
The Food pantry lead will oversee any pantry volunteers that are helping.
Order inventory and keep the pantry updated.
Keep the pantry clean and organized at all times.
Will work a few Saturdays per year (around 4 Saturdays annually) as needed for special events.
Must interact professionally and with kindness to all clients and vendors and children that come to the pantry.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High School Degree
-
1-3 years of experience in food distribution, management or a related field.

Ability to maintain accurate inventory and keep track of food storage in a safe and hygienic environment.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills with a focus on customer service and accuracy a must.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and database management systems.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Must have a valid VA drivers license

Must be able to pass a security background check and drug screening

Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs continually & daily and follow all safety protocols

A passion for serving others and making a difference in the community.

Bi-Lingual in Spanish is required.

Monday and Wednesday, 10 am - 3 PM, with occasional Saturdays for special holiday events only.
